About GreekAirports.gr: The Digital Gateway to Hellenic Aviation
Welcome to GreekAirports.gr, the definitive independent ecosystem dedicated to the 39 airports that form the backbone of Greece’s aerial infrastructure. This platform serves as a sophisticated, data-driven bridge between complex aviation logistics and the people (pilots, passengers, and industry professionals) who rely on it every day.

Our Legacy: From Vision to Digital Reality
The roots of this platform run deep, dating back to the early 1990s. The initiative was pioneered by George Hatzipanagos, an Electronic Engineer at the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA). George had the foresight to envision a centralized digital gateway - initially manifesting as hcaa-eleng.gr and greekairports.gr - at a time when the internet was still in its infancy. His work laid the technical and philosophical foundation for what we see today: a commitment to bringing transparency and order to the complexities of Greek airspace.
Today, that legacy is stewarded by Anastasios Chatzipanagos, Lead Designer and Technical Architect under Isowork-3TA Design, who has transformed that historical archive into a modern, technical "All-in-One" aviation hub for the 21st century.
Strategic Synergy: The Patronas Collaboration
We believe that aviation excellence thrives on partnership. We are proud to highlight our strategic collaboration with Patronas, a partnership that merges our digital architecture with industry-leading expertise. This collaboration allows us to deliver high-fidelity data and operational insights, ensuring that GreekAirports.gr remains not just a directory, but a tool of genuine utility for the modern aviation landscape.
Our Mission
In a landscape where airport management is divided between international operators like Fraport and state-run authorities, information can often be fragmented. Our mission is to provide a unified, authoritative, and transparent resource. We prioritize accuracy, technical depth, and real-time utility, delivering content with the rigor required by the global aviation community.
What We Provide
GreekAirports.gr is structured around four functional pillars:
-
Real-Time Data & Technical Intelligence: Integration of live METAR/TAF weather reports, flight tracking, and detailed aircraft specifications.
-
Infrastructure & Governance: Comprehensive directories of all 39 Greek airports, detailing ownership, regional importance, and legislative frameworks.
-
The "Regional Hero" Network: A curated business directory connecting travelers and operators with verified local services and strategic partners.
-
Next-Gen Assistance: Leveraging AI automation to provide instant, precise responses to passenger inquiries and flight trends.
The Isowork-3TA Design Philosophy
We believe that aviation data should be as beautiful as it is functional. By combining technical architecture with high-level design, we ensure that every interaction - from a pilot checking wind speeds to a traveler looking for a regional connection - is seamless, professional, and data-rich.
GreekAirports.gr is more than a directory; it is a tribute to Greece’s aviation history and a roadmap for its digital future.
Explore. Track. Arrive.
