History
Airport History
Opened in 1971 to connect the island with mainland Greece. It was named "Anna Pollatou" in 2014 to honor the local Olympic rhythmic gymnastics medalist. After the 2017 privatization, Fraport Greece replaced the old 1980s terminal with a completely new, modern facility (Terminal A) in 2019, doubling the check-in and security capacity.
