History:
Airport History
Opened on January 17, 1973. The airport is restricted by its short runway (1,030 meters), which limits traffic primarily to Dash-8 and ATR-42/72 turboprop aircraft. In 2024-2025, the terminal underwent minor renovations to improve passenger flow as the island's popularity increased significantly.
