History
Airport History
Originally built as a military airfield in 1941, it remains a major base for the 116 Combat Wing of the Hellenic Air Force. Civilian operations began in the 1980s to support the growing tourism industry in the Peloponnese. The terminal was expanded in 2007 to better handle the influx of international charter passengers
