VOR-DME (SKP 111.0 MHz), NDB (SKP 334 kHz). No ILS; Runway 01/19 uses VOR or RNAV (GNSS) approaches. Due to the short runway (1,628m), many departing heavy aircraft must perform a technical stop (usually at Kavala or Thessaloniki) for refueling.

History:
Airport History
Opened in 1972 on land reclaimed from the sea between Skiathos and the islet of Lazareta. Named after the famous Greek novelist Alexandros Papadiamantis. In 2017, the airport was privatized under Fraport Greece, which completed a comprehensive expansion of the terminal and a reconfiguration of the aircraft parking positions in 2021.
