Airport History
Opened in June 1995. It is named "Icarus" after the mythological figure who, according to legend, fell into the sea nearby after his wax wings melted. The airport is built on a narrow plateau on the southeastern tip of the island. In 2024, the terminal received minor interior upgrades to better manage the increasing "Blue Zone" tourism interest.
