VOR-DME (ZAK 110.8 MHz), NDB (ZAT 326 kHz). No ILS installed; Runway 16/34 operates primarily with VOR/DME or RNAV (GNSS) procedures. Night operations are strictly regulated to protect the Caretta caretta sea turtles in the nearby Laganas Bay.

Airport History
Opened in 1977. It is named after Dionysios Solomos, the national poet of Greece and author of the "Hymn to Liberty." The airport underwent a total transformation following the 2017 Fraport Greece takeover, with a redesigned terminal layout and modernized safety infrastructure completed in 2021.
