The aircraft, which include a Boeing 727, Boeing 737, Boeing 747, and BAC1-11, are now fully owned by Lamda Development. The acquisition marks a new chapter in the relationship between the two parties and was the result of months of negotiations aimed at resolving the issue of the partial removal of the aircraft from the property.

According to a joint announcement by Hellenic MAE and POLKEOA, the agreement lays a solid foundation for the exploitation of the legacy of Olympic Aviation, which was a historic airline in Greece that ceased operations in 2009. As part of the agreement, POLKEOA will also contribute its valuable experience in the creation of a Civil Aviation Museum.

The acquisition of the Boeing 747 is particularly noteworthy, as the agreement provides for the preparation of a viability study for its utilization as a museum space. The Boeing 747 is widely regarded as a legendary aircraft and played a crucial role in the history of commercial aviation. Its iconic design and technical prowess made it one of the most recognizable and celebrated aircraft of all time.

The creation of the great project of Hellinikon, the largest urban regeneration in Europe, is implemented with respect for the historical and cultural tradition of the region. Lamda Development's vision is to create a world-class destination that celebrates the rich history and culture of Greece while also providing modern amenities and services for visitors and residents alike. With the acquisition of these aircraft, Lamda Development is taking a significant step towards realizing its vision for Hellinikon and establishing itself as a leader in the real estate industry in Greece and beyond.
