American Airlines brings a new route from Athens to Dallas-Fort Worth for the summer season

  • American will offer up to five daily flights from Athens for the summer season.

  • The airline will increase its flights by 25% compared to the previous season.  


ATHENS, Greece — American Airlines launched a new route from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH) in Athens to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).  

This new route to DFW will complement the airline’s operation at ATH, which will include this summer up to 35 peak-weekly flights to five U.S. hubs, offering daily service to Charlotte (CLT), Philadelphia (PHL), Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK) and DFW.  


The route will operate through Sept. 8, 2026, using a mix of Boeing 777-300 aircraft with capacity for 304 passengers and Boeing 777-2 with capacity for 273 passengers.

With this new route, the airline will increase its flights in Athens by 25% and expand seat capacity by 30% compared to the summer 2025 season.
