Athens, Greece. The Latvian airline airBaltic has launched direct flights between Athens, Greece, and Tallinn, Estonia, offering customers broader travel options to the Baltic States throughout the summer season. The new route complements airBaltic’s nearly 20-year-long service between Athens and Latvia’s capital, Riga.
As of April 29, 2026, the new service will operate twice a week – on Wednesdays and Sundays –with a flight time of approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. It offers passengers convenient, seamless connectivity between the two capitals, using the modern Airbus A220-300 fleet, which is being equipped with free internet.
Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic: “Greece is an important and growing market for airBaltic, and the launch of our ninth direct route from the country – between Athens and Tallinn – further enhances connectivity between Greece and the Baltic States. This additional service reflects growing demand between the regions and offers customers greater flexibility when planning travel for leisure, business, or visits to family and friends.”
Ioanna Papadopoulou, AIA’s Director of Communications & Marketing, stated:
“We are delighted with the launch of the direct route connecting Athens with beautiful Tallinn, an excellent addition to the Athens network, which strengthens the connectivity of Athens and enriches the travellers’ choices with yet another destination in the Baltic.
We thank airBaltic for its “vote of trust” in our destination, we wish our airline partner safe and full flights, and we continue our close cooperation aiming at airBaltic’s continuous development in the Athens market”.
