TAP launches flights to Athens

The Lisbon-Athens route begins on July 1st

TAP is launching a new route between Lisbon and Athens, starting July 1st, with five flights per week.


The flights between the capitals of Portugal and Greece will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft during the summer months and with Embraer E190 during the IATA winter season.

From Humberto Delgado Airport, flights will depart at 21:30 every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, arriving at Athens International Airport at 03:40 (AM) the following day. In the opposite direction, departures from Athens will take place at 04:40 every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, arriving in Lisbon at 07:15 (local time).

The Greek capital charms visitors with its majestic Acropolis and the iconic Parthenon, world-class museums, as well as picturesque neighborhoods like Plaka, filled with cafes and traditional shops. From Athens, visitors can also begin exploring top tourist destinations in Greece, such as Delphi with its famous Temple of Apollo, Meteora, known for its "suspended" monasteries, as well as nearby islands like Hydra and Aegina, ideal for a seaside getaway.


Round-trip tickets between Lisbon and Athens are available at www.flytap.com, as well as through travel agents, with prices starting from €119, including all taxes.
